Thousands of people have small businesses like hair salons and have no income. They do not get help from Government and now have to rely on food parcels from friends to survive

Miempie Labuschagne (Kempton Park, 2020-06-01)

#604

I am seeing job losses first hand. Surely in a democratic country the government of the day should be honest and transparent and should Not be envorcing a dictatorship. Our amazing country should stand by the freedom of it's citizens and not blindly follow the lies we are being told and the rediculous restriction that are imposed and envorced as if we are mere sheep that can not think for ourselves. We are SA. Action should be taken against those who lie to the people they are suppose to lead.

Rene Saunders (Brakpan, 2020-06-01)

Fed up being treated like a prisoner and child when I am already 55. Our Country is being driven into the ground.

Anna Du Toit (Gauteng, 2020-06-01)

#617

It's a money making racket.
The percentage infections as opposed to the number of Citizens is a drop in the ocean.

Anna-Marié Smith (Kempton Park, 2020-06-01)

#618

Economy needs to reopen. I need to work to earn money to feed my family

Garth Wilson (Kempton park, 2020-06-01)

Sacrificing millions of jobs for such a small part (.001%) of the population dying is absolutely crazy. Much more die due to Ads and TB. No realfocus on that groups. What is the agenda here?

Gerrit Du Plooy (Kempton Park, 2020-06-01)

#633

Agustinho Gomes (Edenvale, 2020-06-01)

#650

Government has not been honest and certain corrupt activities and ANC interests are being put ahead of the entire country. We cannot allow for our country to be oppressed by communist values and corrupt ideas

Marcall Cloete (Benoni, 2020-06-01)

#651

MP are using this crisis to drive their own agendas and to make them feel powerful because they finally control what we can eat, drink and do whereas under general circumstance nobody cares about their opinions anyway. The lock-down will not stop the virus but the behaviour of people will determine the extent of the outbreak. Not lifting it will put millions out of work.

Jan Kruger (Kempton Park, 2020-06-01)

#652

The economy needs to open immediately as we can No business. We are in catering and venue (weddings, training, etc) business.

#677

I have suffered great losses with my business and don’t know if i will ever recover. And that only black owned businesses get financial assistance is so wrong but our tax money is good enough

Ruwayne Du Piesanie (Kempton Park, 2020-06-01)

#678

Signing cause the government has enough.
Now corrupt and about self gain.
Leaving people now without food but costed them their jobs.

Tara Theron (Edenvale, 2020-06-01)

I believe the lockdown now isn't going to make any difference, the initial lockdown was to prepare healthcare services and that has been done, give the people their rights and freedoms back.

Wesley Profe (Kempton Park, 2020-06-01)

#688

We are suffering from bad disisions,

Lourens Marx (Cape Town, 2020-06-01)

#689

I no longer believe the lockdown serves any valuable purpose. We cannot truly prevent infections, we can prevent people dying from hunger by letting them work.

Lara Dreyer (Johannesburg, 2020-06-01)

Orpa Op't Hof (Pretoria, 2020-06-01)

Corona will be with us for a while if God allows that. The numbers dont add up to keep a lockdown. More people dont have corona. Less deaths than flu. Most people recover quickly.

I am a small business and I am in trouble.

Leo Van In (Midvaal, 2020-06-02)

Brenda Van Wyk (Kempton park, 2020-06-02)

#703

The Country's economy is suffering and many jobs are lost

Basil Kaschula (Brackenfell, 2020-06-02)

#712

I believe people need to earn money to be able to afford food. I also realise the seriousness of the pandemic and pray the government will pay more attention to social distancing measures and wearing masks instead of counting the amount of cigarettes people smoke. The cigarettes floating around i never seen before and believe they from Zimbabwe. Zuma is not our minister of health she should stick her nose in elsewhere considering her reputation with the Aids epidemic.

Danny Cronje (Boksburg, 2020-06-02)

#713

I lost my job due to COVID and based on my race I do not qualify for government support

We work in hospitality and have earned zero income since lockdown started

Charlene Landman-Kriel (Gauteng, 2020-06-02)

The economy is already on its knees and so are the citizens. If you carry on with this draconian type plan including the ban on Tobacco products this country will be in big trouble.

The economy is getting bad by the day and every single person is going to suffer does not matter what race you are Only the high high up people in the world and the government is will be okay People just need to look after themselves and be careful This is all about the government who wants to control us The big people overseas Lots off people's died before in sickness no records been hold ext If you really know your Bible you will get the truth Open it that the people can decides them self what they going to know Just loosing Income and business that is not fear

Cynthia Vaughan (Boksburg, 2020-06-02)

#751

It’s the right thing to do. Over and above which the Scientists and Epidemiologists recommended to Government to go to Level 1, as Lockdown has served it’s purpose, and is now a useless tool.

Grant Geddes (Cape Town, 2020-06-03)

#753

They trying to control every body by having the lockdown But they just ruining the country and Madam Zuma is making herself rich through her son Edward She should be fired

Barbie Kock (Pretoria, 2020-06-03)

#760

My youngest has been without one rand on her name since the lockdown started as she is a nail technition of her own Salon. Not BEE one person owned no financial relief for her. It's enough now.

Karin Vermeulen (Oudtshoorn, 2020-06-04)

#762

The ANC is A Racist, Communist, Hypocritical Bunch of leaderless clowns. All they do is, embezzle and LIE, and find it a treat, running this country towards the end of the abyss.

Janine Rautenbach (Rustenburg, 2020-06-05)

The lockdown is no longer logical & seems to be in place merely to control us, not help us.

Kerry Hartel (Johannesburg, 2020-06-05)

This is not different from flue, ill rather die working than die of starvation

Maxie Mynhardt (Pretoria, 2020-06-07)

#769

My son is a a hairdresser and fully supports his wife and.two teenage children. He has not been allowed to work since lockdown. Hairdressers are a necessity for a person's wellbeing. They can very easily make their work areas meet any protocols hence they shd have been back to work ages ago. Note In Autralia they did not have to stop working at al during their lockdown period

Caroline Higgs (Cape town, 2020-06-08)

The lockdown is ruining all kinds of industries.

Paul Landry (London, 2020-09-05)

#782

I think the strategy the government has taken since day one has been totally disproportionate to the risks of the Disease. Protect the vulnerable at all costs but allow people in the low risk categories to live their lives and get the economy going again. All of these silly rules are an absolute disgrace.

John Castell (Wrexham, 2020-10-07)

#783

People need jobs and there fore income to survive

pauline hedger (RAINHAM, 2020-10-09)

#788

The Human Rights Act states I have freedom of movement, unless removed by a Deprivations Of Liberties Assesment. I have never been found incapable of making a decision in accordance with the Mental Capacities Act, so this lockdown is an infringement of my civil liberties and affecting my mental health.

Joanna Rose (Rotherham, 2020-10-24)

#795

The government are being advised by discredited scientist's and are locking down healthy people, where there is a 99.8% survival rate. We are still living with chicken pox virus, HIV virus, flu virus, sars, swine flu, bird flu, last year when you went to your doctors, with a virus you were told they could not do anything as it is a VIRUS, wake up people.

Steven Maddison (London, 2020-11-01)

#798

I don't think it will work and will cause economic hardship to last a generation.

It is also a huge infringement of my liberties.

Lorraine Lloyd-Thomas (London, 2020-11-02)

#799

Totally disagree with implementing something which already hasn’t worked.
