We are getting ripped off by a monopoly of two suppliers

(Auckland, 2020-02-15)

#603

I shopped there in Australia and would like it in New Zealand

(Taupo, 2020-02-27)

#606

Need more competition, and lower food prices.

(Christchurch, 2020-03-02)

#610

We’ve lived in Australia for over 12 years and have fallen deeply in love with our Aldi! Coming to NZ and not having an Aldi store (yet) is very disheartening! Not only is Aldi your friendly and compact local, but because of their competition in the market place, it also drives down grocery prices in other big stores. Please please please can you bring Aldi to NZ! Look how successful Aldi has been in Australia PLUS we love your ads!

(Auckland, 2020-03-13)

#612

I’ve been to Aldi in Australia and it’s the best supermarket I’ve ever been,New Zealand needs it,because they are getting ripped off from the supermarkets her

(Auckland, 2020-03-19)

#613

I love ALDI shops

(Auckland, 2020-03-20)

#614

Food is way to expensive in NZ and feel it qont change until their is a more competitive retailer available.

(Hamilton, 2020-03-30)

#615

Supermarket prices were already far too high before Covid-19. Now, with price gouging by the two supermarket chains it is even more clear that decent competition is desperately needed.

(Auckland, 2020-03-31)

#617

Great value, choice and quality. NZ needs competition to drive prices down. I'm always impressed with the variety Aldi has to offer. My family in the UK shop at Aldi and often tell me what they have paid for shopping. I'm sick of paying around 400 a week to feed my large family. Please Aldi hop across the ditch we will support you.

(Kapiti Coast, 2020-04-13)

#618

It is a great store and gives a lot of variety and good quality products at reasonable prices

(WELLINGTON, 2020-04-16)

#620

If we had Aldi in our region that would be my regular supermarket. I honestly would shop there for everything I could. I love everything about Aldi but the affordability just blows my mind compared to the duopoly we have with supermarkets in New Zealand. I’m in Napier but even if Aldi was in Hastings I would go out of my way to shop there. I also believe with the predicted hard economic times that are no doubt coming, there couldn’t be a better time for Aldi to hit our shores. Affordable groceries are REALLY needed in Hawkes Bay at any time, but soon it would become a lifeline for many. Aldi you can compete with the nz duopoly... and really make an impact here. Please, please come to New Zealand!!!

(Napier, 2020-04-18)

#621

We need more competition and affordability that aldi offers.

(Napier, 2020-04-19)

#623

Because its cheap and they have yum food.

(NAPIER, 2020-04-20)

#627

2 big cfompanies control food prices which are ridiculously high in a farming country. Growers and farmers dont get this money. The companies do.

(Nelson, 2020-05-02)

#628

Current duopoly makes food too expensive here. Competition is needed. Australia is much cheaper as a result of Aldi.

(Thames, 2020-05-02)

#629

I want more competition in the NZ grocery business

(Thames, 2020-05-03)

#630

I love aldi

(Christchurch, 2020-05-08)

#632

ALDI is amazing!

(Dunedin, 2020-05-20)

#634

Aldi is better value

(Auckland, 2020-05-23)

#635

I'm signing because I'm from the UK and I miss the quality food and prices of Aldi. I have recently moved from living in Australia and I cant live without Aldi. NZ relies on tourists and all tourists know Aldi. Every traveller who comes here to travel and every immigrant would benefit from Aldis prices the same as they do back home. As would NZers as Countdown and New world are a rip off. I've got my Aldi bag ready for when you come! Aldi for life.

(Auckland, 2020-05-23)

#636

Bacause I'm sick of being ripped off by the duopoly who currently have the monopoly on food sales in New Zealand. Time for a shake up, wake up New Zealand!!

(Auckland, 2020-06-01)

#637

I love shopping at Aldi

(Auckland, 2020-06-11)

#639

Much more affordable for familys

(Queenstown, 2020-06-19)

#640

Aldi is my go-to store when I lived in Australia and should be here in New Zealand.

(Wellington, 2020-06-21)

#645

I love Aldi. I miss its products as i lived in Melbiurne for the last 10 years.

(Otaki, 2020-08-17)

#646

I use Aldi in Australia because it is cheap, fresh, and consumer-oriented. So, we are selling zero ball which can be free from Covid 19 because we want to sell it in Aldi.

(sydney, 2020-08-21)

#647

Wow 😮, we shopped every week at Aldi in Australia, now moving back to NZ and our weekly shop has doubled. PLEASE ALDI HELP A BROTHER OUT

(WHAKATANE, 2020-08-23)

#648

I am sick of the high prices ripping off kiwis by the duopoly that was endorsed by the bloody nz commerce committee.

(Auckland, 2020-08-24)

#655

omg..Aldi is wonderful ! My son lives in Brisbane and I bring a suitcase full of Aldi Lo carb bread home every time we visit .....

(Timaru, 2020-10-09)

#659

(Rotorua, 2020-10-15)

#660

We have shopped at Aldi ever since they have opened in our area of Perth. They may only have mostly home brand products but the quality is usually the same if not better then the big named brands. I can see Aldi being nothing but good for NZ shoppers

(Perth, 2020-10-17)

#661

I'm signing this petition because I believe access to a variety of affordable food and groceries is a human right. Also in New Zealand there is a small bunch of main supermarkets but all of them are owned by either one of two businesses, and so the market is currently dominated by 2 businesses only. I would love to see supermarket chains such as Aldi come through in New Zealand. I hope oneday Aldi will be able to come to NZL.

(Wellington, 2020-10-20)

#664

Moved back home this year after 5 years in Australia. I miss Aldi stores so much!

(Christchurch, 2020-11-18)

#665

I love aldi shopped here for years when I loved in Perth WA, also use to work here. The way they run their company is unbelievably effective and would help alot of family's here in NZ

(Tauranga, 2020-11-22)

#668

I love shopping at Aldi! I am from Germany and know the great products they sell and to great prices! I think we need it here in New Zealand too to bring food prices down!

(RD 9 WHANGAREI, 2020-12-09)

#669

I am coming back to NZ next year we need Aldi supermarket to lower prices and make compitition with other supermarkets who have dominated for far to long. Most Kiwis who have lived in Aussie are loyal Aldi shoppers even visitors from NZ who have come to visit me go back to NZ with a variety Aldi prducts. The products are good quality and the food tasty European products, the make up and dish washer and laundry products are the best
PLEASE ,PLEASE come to NZ we need you

(Brisbane, 2020-12-20)

#670

#677

Aldi needs to bring its amazing product to NZ. And bring prices down in NZ.

(Hamilton, 2021-02-15)

#680

I love and miss shopping at Aldi. We lived in Melbourne and this was my main place to shop.
Very affordable and is definitely needed in the Far North of New Zealand where there is a lack of employment and the community would benefit greatly in having an Aldi here.

(Kaitaia, 2021-02-15)

#682

We need Aldi here

(Te Puke, 2021-02-16)

#683

Because of the monopoly the two companies hold in the food retail business.

(Invercargill, 2021-02-16)

#685

Family in australia say it's great

(Kaikohe 0405, 2021-02-16)

#686

I'm signing because I also love Aldi supermarket and would like to see them in NZ. I have returned from Australia after living there for 13-14ys and also think this supermarket will definitely give the other chains some damn good competition.

(Havelock North, 2021-02-17)

#688

We need competitive pricing and choice other than the three major supermarkets

(Tauranga, 2021-02-17)

#696

We need Aldi

(Timaru, 2021-03-16)

#698

Aldi is a brilliant cheap store that everyone should have access too

(Toodyay, 2021-03-23)

#699

I think NZ needs more affordable supermarket

(Carterton, 2021-03-29)

#701

The supermarkets are robbing new Zealanders blind. The duopoly is greedy and corrupt. New Zealanders deserve fresh and healthy food at affordable prices. We need aldi in New Zealand!

(Auckland, 2021-04-03)

#702

Aldi is amazing

(Christchurch, 2021-04-08)

#705

The rest of the world has aldi why can't we

(Christchurch, 2021-04-24)

#706

I love Aldi!!

(Christchurch, 2021-04-25)

#708

Compettition is good for consumers and business.

(Christchurch, 2021-04-25)

#709

Please ALDI, please open your store in Rotorua, I know from living in Australia how your prices are the most competitive and with really great groceries and other products, you could do really great business competing against Countdown and Pack n Save or New World. We consumers are always being ripped off by the big 3, people like me who know how good you are want to shop in your store every week !!!
Neil

(Rotorua, 2021-05-03)

#711

We are moving back to Tauranga from Qld and am devastated there is no Aldi there we live on just the age pension which will be even smaller there and need the price and quality Aldi provides. Come on Aldi put a shop in Tauranga we have been loyal shoppers since you moved into Qld

(Caboolture, 2021-05-18)

#712

I LOVE Aldi Stores❤️

(Timaru, 2021-05-24)

#714

I lived in Australia for 15 yrs and Aldi was my primary place to shop. Clothing and weekly special were the bomb diggity. Would love to have Aldi available here.

(Christchurch, 2021-06-10)

#715

I’m signing because I LOVED shopping at ALDI in London (Kingston Upon Thames) and love shopping at Aldi in Adelaide when visiting family. NZ is desperate for a competitive supermarket. Please do it ALDI!!!

(Hastings, 2021-07-09)

#718

I love aldis and wish I could get the range of products available in Australia here too. So unfair

(Auckland, 2021-07-23)

#720

This is getting out of control.

(Auckland, 2021-07-26)

#721

Aldi would make a killing here in NZ.
I lived in Australia and loved Aldi so much.
Everyone in NZ hates the prices of the supermarkets here but we have no choice. Aldi would so so well here. People would ditch the duopoly of Woolworths and Foodstuffs for a new incredible competitor such as Aldi with its amazing quality products, varied ranges and much more affordable prices. We need you in NZ.

(Timaru, 2021-07-28)

#722

New zealanders are being shafted,by food stuffs, and progressive, supermarkets there needs to be more competition, and the Germans will definitely give better value for your dollar!

(Tauranga, 2021-07-29)

#724

We need them. It must be cheaper for Aldi to service NZ than servicing Perth

(Auckland, 2021-07-29)

#727

We need change in NZ and the duopoly to be busted since they are ripping off everyone in NZ

(Nelson, 2021-07-31)

#728

We need more competition desperately.

(Auckland, 2021-07-31)

#729

There is no proper competition in the grocery trade in NZ

(Point England, Auckland, 2021-08-01)

#730

ALDI IS FAVOURITE STORE IWHEN I GO TO AUSTRALIA.Love there prices and makeup etc

(Wellington, 2021-08-01)

#731

Signing because we need more choice, value for money and Aldi has great prices and bargains.. it's in Aussie so why not here 👍👍

(Auckland, 2021-08-11)

#733

I sm from the U.K and shopped in Aldi, it offers a wide variety of high quality goods, and wine is cheaper, also sells household goods, can get most thing in one shop, we need this here, our supermarkets are appalling prices.

(Auckland, 2021-08-21)

#735

We had Aldi in the UK and they would be good to have more supermarket choice in NZ and would be good for competition.

(Auckland, 2021-08-27)

#737

I love Aldi products 100%

(Wellington, 2021-09-12)

#739

I was living in Sydney Australia when ALDI open there stores and from there on I have always love there products and sales and best of all there prices, this store would benefit all types of families especially the lower income earners and elderly, beneficiaries. There have been many Nzlanders that have lived in Australia that are now living in NZ who only wish for ALDI stores here.

(Te Puke, 2021-09-15)

#741

We need a third player in the market

(Christchurch, 2021-09-29)

#745

I have shopped with Aldi in Australia and would love to see them here in NZ

(Amberley, 2021-09-29)

#747

Sick of high grocery prices in NZ.

(porirua, 2021-09-29)

#748

We so badly need another supermarket chain in NZ. Have been to Aldi supermarkets in Australia.

(levin, 2021-09-29)

#750

In New Zealand we have the following international fast food chains:
McDonald's
KFC
Burger King
Pizza Hut
Domino's
Wendeys
Carl's Junior
Dunking Donuts
Subway
Burger fuel
Taco Bell

Why then can't we get more International supermarket chains?
5 Million and counting new customers are waiting :)

(CHRISTCHURCH, 2021-09-29)

#753

I lived in the UK until 2015.
I know how good Aldi is as I shopped there every week. NZ produce is wonderful but so expensive. Aldi would but locally and help farmers and growers get a decent price for their produce.

(Auckland, 2021-09-29)

#754

Aldi is brilliant, lived in Australia 2015 and found the Stores full of good product at great prices. Unlike New World and Countdown monopolies!

(OHAUPO, 2021-09-30)

#755

I enjoyed ALDI supermarket and use to shop there affordable prices for the “luxury” items we need you guys here in New Zealand.

(NAPIER HAWKES BAY, 2021-09-30)

#756

Prices for food are too high. We need competition to hopefully bring prices down

(Otorohanga, 2021-09-30)

#757

My family need aldi

(Manurewa, 2021-10-01)

#758

I'm signing because I am sick of the duopoly that has been created by Progressive(Woolworths/Countdown) and Foodstuffs. There is no competition and they have us over a barrel with not allowing any new competitor to enter the market and giving us a real choice on where to spend our hard earned money.

(Christchurch, 2021-10-01)

#759

I think that Aldi needs to come to NZ as the prices of groceries is rediculously expensive here. I have shopped in Aldi in Australia and have wished that they had stores here in NZ for years.

(Auckland, 2021-10-01)

#760

I love to shop at Aldi

(Christchurch, 2021-10-01)

#761

I loved Aldi when I lived in Oz we so need here

(Tauranga, 2021-10-01)

#762

I lived in Australia for 8 years and Aldi was my go to supermarket for good quality reasonably priced products! Loved their weekly specials, especially the ski gear and other outdoor leisure products

(Wellington, 2021-10-01)

#763

I'm signing because some price focused competition throughout these monopolistic industries must be encouraged

(Leeston, 2021-10-01)

#767

Nz needs more supermarket competition and aldi is awesome

(Waikato, 2021-10-03)

#769

Fairer food prices for all kiwis. We are being ripped off!

(Te Kauwhata, 2021-10-03)

#771

I want market xompetition

(Ashburton, 2021-10-03)

#772

NZ and Aldi is a match made in heaven - like Mac and Cheese, Peanut butter and jelly, Romeo and Juliette!

(Blenheim, 2021-10-03)

#776

supermarket prices here are excessive. I feel the big two are milking profits. The AAAA in Australia would come down on anti-competitive pricing. I shopped every week at ALDI in Canberra. I want ALDI here. They are awesome. the population is big enough

(auckland, 2021-10-04)

#778

We need more competition to help the ridiculous price of goods in New Zealand

(Christchurch, 2021-10-05)

#780

We need a good value supermarket here

(Christchurch, 2021-10-08)

#781

We’re Australian and used to shop at Aldi and loved many of the products. In Nz there is only countdown (Woolworths) and foodstuff new world (Coles) / pak&save. We desperately need some food choice and quality. No doubt Aldi would be a big hit!

(Auckland, 2021-10-09)

#782

We are screwed in New Zealand

(Timaru, 2021-10-10)

#786

I'm signing because I love shopping at Aldi's in Katoomba, Blue Mountains whenever I'm there. I've tried and liked of many of the products you can't get anywhere else, the most memorable being the small tins of trout, (like sardine tins), some of their moisturizers many other things. I bought back 6 tins of the trout and had them on toast here in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, NZ. Bring on Aldi to NZ please!

(Tauranga, 2021-10-25)

#787

Yes Aldi is very good and the right answer in the name of competition. Woolworth is far too big for it's boots.

(Hamilton, 2021-10-27)

#788

I moved here from Sydney and am astounded at the rip off pricing in NZ. I miss Aldi so much!

(Auckland, 2021-10-30)

#793

I've lived in the UK and k ow how good Aldi is. Their presence would force a reduction in prices, as it did in the UK. It will also give farmers and producers more bargaining power.

(Pokeno, 2021-10-31)

#794

Aldi is amazing and I would be a regular shopper at least twice a week as I was when I lived in Melbourne.

(Auckland, 2021-10-31)

#796

We need Aldi here in NZ - Cheaper prices and great quality.

(Christchurch, 2021-11-01)

#798

We need ALDI in New Zealand to bring down the over inflated prices.

(Christchurch, 2021-11-01)

#800

I am from Germany, I no Aldi berry well.

(Green Bay / Auckland, 2021-11-01)
