He plead guilty. He doesn't deserve a freedom that he intentionally took away from someone else.

This person belongs in jail for his crime.

Does not deserve to see the light of day

I'm friends with Maura and heard about her cousin, Christie. So sad. Donato should stay behind bars.

I am signing this petition because I have 4 children and if someone took one of their lives then I don't believe they should have a life outside of prison. After all that Christie Montrella's family has lost, I feel THEY deserve the small shred of peace knowing that he remains behind bars until he dies.

#6437

This killer deserves life.

Christie doesn’t get a second chance, why should her killer?

Don went to a good, catholic high school and knew better; I'm sure his parents were fine people, although I never met them. Don looked evil and seemed tough back then when we were all going to high school and he dated one of my classmates. I am currently living in Mayfield Heights and can't stand the thought of him ever living near me. Keep him in another twenty years so that he's too old to commit anymore crimes when he finally comes out. Respectfully Submitted.

#6489

This is a monster and monsters need to be caged.

(Ocoee, 2018-01-24)

#6491

This man should not be allowed out of jail

(Maitland Florida, 2018-01-24)

#6492

The heinousness of this crime mandates that Mr. Lombardozzi spend everyday of his natural life in prison. He doesn't deserve to spend a free day outside of prison. He didn't give this young girl a chance to live a full life. Her parents must live without there beloved daughter.

(Mentor, 2018-01-24)

Death is hard enough to deal with due to old age and sickness, to lose a child is inconceivable, but to lose a child due to a monster, that is inexcusable. I do not believe these monsters can be rehabilitated nor do I care to find out. I am sorry for this family and the loss of a whole life of love and memories that was taken from you. I hope this monster does not get awarded parole.

(Houma, 2018-01-24)

#6500

Not fair that he should be free after committing such a horrible crime.

(Mentor, 2018-01-24)

#6504

I'm signing this petition to ask the parole board to deny Donato Lombardozzi release, now or at any future date. He brutally murdered 16-year-old Christie Montrella and does not deserve freedom. I cannot imagine the horror she experienced, or the anguish felt by her parents. Thank you.

(Haw River, NC, 2018-01-24)

A young girl lost her life. Her parents will never see her again so the p.o.s. should never see the outside of the prison walls.

(Eastlake, 2018-01-24)

#6509

This man needs to continue to be incarcerated. He openly admitted his guilt with no remorse. Taking the life of an innocent helpless young girl . He was afraid to go to trial because he did not want his life taken from him as he did someone else.

As a recipient of the Christie Montrella Scholarship in 2004, my heart goes out to the Montrella family. Without that scholarship, I would not have gone on to achieve the things I have. I got to experience things that Christie never got to do.

While I benefited from the tragedy that the Montrella family experienced in 1988, releasing a criminal before he has truly served his time is more than unfair. They already were traumatized by the crime of Donato Lombardozzi. To release him now would only further victimize the family. Please consider the Montrella family and the life that was cut short during the parole hearings.

(Willoughby, 2018-01-24)

I am signing because I was a willoughby resident. I remember reading the paper. I remember Mrs montrella sitting on her stoop, waiting for daughter to come home. I wrote to the family and Mrs montrella personally wrote me back and calmed my fears, while grieving her own loss. She never knew me personally. Now that I am a mother I can't not imagine what the family went through then. And to relive it for a parole hearing- I think not!! Keep Lombadozzi in prison. Honor the montrella family not him. Thank you.

(Painesville, 2018-01-24)

#6522

He deserves to not have a life outside

(High point, 2018-01-24)

#6523

This is a heinous and personal crime this man committed . I don’t believe “good behavior” should come into play when obviously his preferred target types are not in a prison facility. To release him at all would be to jeopardize the safety of the majority in the community. Keep his where he is.

(Gillette, 2018-01-24)

#6528

I can't believe a person like this is even allowed to live, honestly. How is it fair that he took an innocent person's life, yet he is being considered for freedom?!

(North Canton, OH, 2018-01-24)

#6537

He toook a beautiful life. He will do it again. He pled guilty to avoid the death penalty but had no problem brutally killing her. Her family has to live a lifetime without their daughter, he needs to live a lifetime behind bars.

(Euclid, 2018-01-24)

#6539

This killer does not deserve freedom. He tinkered a young girl of her whole life.

(Hollidaysburg, 2018-01-24)

#6544

Brutal murder of 16 year old girl. No parole! Why is he even eligible?

(Haw River, NC, 2018-01-24)

#6546

I am signing because I know how this terrible event effected and continues to effect the Montrella family. The killer deserves to remain in prison to serve his term.

(Willoughby, 2018-01-24)

#6548

I don't believe murderers of this type can be rehabilitated.

(Pensacola, FL, United States, 2018-01-24)

#6549

He took the life of a beautiful young neighbor girl. Her parents never got to see her grow up, go to college, get married, have children of her own. I’m sure their pain will never get to go on parole... keep the monster locked up. He should have been on good behavior BEFORE he murdered Christy.

(Roaming Shores, 2018-01-24)

#6553

I don't want Donato Lombardozzi to be paroled!

(Wickliffe, 2018-01-24)

#6554

Animals like this do not need to be put back into society. It’s time we make these criminals pay full price for their actions.

(Cincinnati, 2018-01-24)

#6556

she can never come back. he should of never did this to her. or her family!!!!

(mantua, 2018-01-24)

#6557

Thirty yrs is not enough time for taking ones life so senseless..... She was sentenced to death when he decided to take her life...He sentenced her parents to their life sentence when he took their daughter..... Now are you ready to sentence another innocent family to a life sentence of heartache if this murder is released

(Painesville, 2018-01-24)

#6565

This killer must not get released!!!

(Streetsboro, 2018-01-24)

#6566

because he needs to stay where he is for taking her life ,let him spend his life in there with no freedom that is more then what she get to have now ,pray for peace for her family and friends .

(Ashtabula, 2018-01-24)

#6567

I feel this man should spend out his life in prison.

(Independence, 2018-01-24)

(Mentor on the Lake, 2018-01-24)

#6584

This young girl’s life was taken. Her family will never have her again. I think this man should not be set free till the day he dies

(Westerville, 2018-01-24)

#6585

Because Christie did not have a chance to grow old, her murderer should not be released ever.

(SAGAMORE HLS, 2018-01-24)

He took her life

(Conneaut Ohio, 2018-01-24)
