Loadshedding is to bad and breakdowns are to much in Minnebron. We as pensioner people can not afford all the damages and losses because of this. We are paying for a service delivery which is going down hill. Our health is also depending on it. I am depending on an oxygen machine. Please can we get this sorted

Minnebron needs to replace a transformer and cables. Our power is perhaps on for 6 hours. Loads of issues.

Team needs time to sort it out and we need time to recover from a weeks disturbances.

Whole community struggling and need some help and time without loadshedding with the repairs.

To sit without power from Wednesday 05h45 up to 23h30. And from there on on and off and still getting loadshedding and even longer no power after loadshedding. Lost a lot of meat and vegetables during that period. And then one must hear it's only a temperature fixture and it can have a black out at anytime. No what we are fed up.

I am living in Minnebron and had to dispose of all my meat bought for the month due to the electrical faults caused by loadshedding. I do not have enough money to keep on buying food is not a luxury it's a necessity.

I am fed up with this municipality not maintaining the infrastructure and the people who pay their accounts has to sit with days without power and incurred heavy losses with food and appliances. Get your act together please

Substations burn down we are with no power for 4 days and as soon as the power is restored we are immediately loadshed again. Start up after loadshedding all power trip affecting our appliances and we are tired!!!

The power station in Minnebron cannot be fixed to be efficient enough if there's constant loadshedding.

We as a family and part of this community are sick and tired of paying exorbitant amounts of money for services we do not receive. We are experiencing financial losses due to food spoilage caused by load shedding and power interruptions caused by faulty substations and lack of proper maintenance. We have been without power since last Tuesday 6.02.24 until 10.02.24 and have had power problems ever since with continuous tripping after loadshedding. We cannot take it any longer. Something needs to be done. We cannot have load shedding AND continuous power problems which lead to food losses and even further problems that nobody can afford.

We are so fed up with the loadshedding our sub station burning in Minnebron and having to loose our food for the month because of no maintenance and because of that the station burned and now every time after loadshedding and switching power on it trips then we are without power for longer periods... It's getting unsafe in our are the squatter camp is visible from our house and now the break in is getting worse because people don't have power, cables are being stolen we are jus fed up with always being loadshed whilst areas like Springs and Nigel never gets switched off we have to bath and children need to do homework which we battle to do in the dark and the traffic is a mess

There is absolutely no consideration for paying citizens when we had no electricity for 4 days and also extended hours after loadshedding thereafter due to the problem only being sorted temporarily. Exemption was requested from ward counsellors and was denied?? Does not sound like an unreasonable request given the circumstances. There was cable theft that caused a fire at the substation which took 3 days to clean and then we were advised that the transformer does not work. We were apparently connected to a nearby area which still until now causes an overload. We were switched on 3 hours after we had to wait for loadshedding to end just to be switched off again the next day 09:45 and had to wait until 16:30 just to have loadshedding again from 20:00 to 00:00. It has and is still costing people a lot of money for food that has gone rotten, fuel for generators and additional solar lights. This on and off thing is not a game, since people’s appliances break and that too costs MONEY to fix or replace, money people don’t necessarily have due to our unstable economy and huge unemployment numbers. It does make sense that due to our current situation we are exempted from loadshedding until we are connected correctly. Not everyone has gas and therefore people who work during the day also would not be able to have a warm shower neither their children who have to attend school. Not to mention the opportunities for criminal activities during these extended power outages in the evenings and early morning hours. This is a request for the sanity of humanity and is really not unreasonable.

Our area didn’t have electricity for 3 days. Each time there’s load shedding it takes one hour of on and off power trips before the system can hold and an hour later the power is off. We are possibly with electricity for 4 hours in 24 hours and my washing machine was blown.

I am gatvol of a government not working even though half man salary goes to tax and nothing can be seen done with it. Big intersection stop streets only, potholes everywhere, basic human rights of water and electricity is seen as a major plus. I love my country but the management sucks it needs to change something drastically repent and start being God fearing again somehow. We can be one of the best nations world wide, the resources must just be maintained and managed well not at substandard measure and being happy with that low form of out put and it just being accepted the whole time. It's not accepted in corporate SAF why in the government where it is so much more important? What are we leaving for the future rainbow nation?

Since the Van Eck substation burnt, which was a direct fault from Ekurhuleni, cable was stolen 6 months ago, and only a quick fix was done, which resulted the substation to burn. Withok was without power for 4 days, eventually they connected us to Dalpark, but it is a strain because everytime after loadshedding it trips because of the overload. then it takes from 2hours to 7 hours sometimes to restore power.

Every time there is load shedding we have no power. In the last 2 weeks we only had 5 days electricity and then 1 hour after it came on we were hit with 4 hour stage 6. We have lost all the meat

I am tired of loadshedding as you must always rush to get things done either early in the morning to get ready for work or at night to prepare food.

Power stations cannot handle loadshedding and is costing more to repair. Leaving us longer periods without electricity and more financial losses.

Angie Armstrong (Brakpan, 2024-02-15)

Our transformers are overloaded with all the extra capacity that it needs to carry... We need to repair this as every time there's loadshedding and it comes back on, it overloads and costs us to go days on end without electricity because something burned. This is ridiculous and honestly unacceptable
