I live in a conservation area and this will detract from the beauty of the surrounding area. The building is not in the character of the surrounding buildings nor is it in keeping with the height of other buildings. Parking will also cause concern in an already saturated area.

There is no disagreement that the area near Birnbeck Pier, and the pier itself (which has been left to deteriorate with no respect for its historical importance) need regeneration. The proposed CNM development is totally unsympathetic to this area. Why would we agree to this build when this Company has made no attempt to restore the old pier. If CNM put forward a more appropriate plan, the people of Weston may be more amenable. We recognise regeneration is necessary to this area of our wonderful town but it must be done in the right way.

Most of my childhood was spent in this area,my best friends family owned 1 south road,and from every part of this beautiful house ,you had wonderful views.
Now years later,and the house has been converted into flats,my son now lives there,the views are stunning,it is one of the reasons people choose to live there,such an asset.
Now with this ugly monstrosity proposed ,most of the people living there,and the surrounding area will loose this beautiful view,only to look out to a wall of concrete.
