Taxi drivers are being treated extremely unfairly... They have huge overheads before food is put in their tables never mind utility bills and the roof over their headsMartina Smith (Belfast, 2020-11-01)

If we taxi drivers don't get paid more it's a complete joke, very soon I will leaving the taxi industry, in debt massively and have to fork out 1300 pound for my car as it broke down, and guess what I don't have any money so it is a simple decision to leave taxiing and give my car back as I am stressed to the maxBrendan Mc namee (Belfast, 2020-11-01)

I feel the amount isn't enough. Taxi drivers have been failed during this and it needs properly addressed and payments made inline with costs and help received by other industries . I also feel that the help being provided needs to be accessible to all with less restrictions.Leanne Mcaree (Belfast, 2020-11-01)

As a taxi driver of 30 urs it’s disgusting they are letting this happen to us , if it were France or Germany the taxi drivers would bring every city to standstill until they get paid a better deal to match PAYE 80% of our gross loft per year it should have been all alongMark McCullough (Belfast, 2020-11-02)

Nicola, you know where I'm coming from when I say this! "For most of my life in this Country I have been treated like a Second Class Citizen" this offer whilst it's a little bit of help it doesn't go far enough, through the self employed scheme, we didn't get 80% of gross, we got 80% of net, this means we cannot live, we still have our costs, overheads, the bills keep coming weekly monthly, and need paid. How can we pay them? The Local Government Ministers have shut the place down again, Hospitality sector, bars, clubs, restaurants the list goes on Local people are staying at home as asked 🙄 so our services have come to a complete halt.
HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP IS WHAT WE DESPERATELY NEED NOW.
I have now, changed from eating 3 small meals per day to eating once per day this morning I had a half bowl of cornflakes with no milk, tomorrow I have left out 2 slices of bread, I'll toast them over the fire, and I hope that I can scrape enough jam of the sides of the pot.
I have not shaved, for a number of weeks now, I can't afford to buy razor blades, I'm struggling Nicola to continue writing i could go on and on BUT REALLY I THINK IT'S A WAIST OF MY TIME AS YOU AND YOUR COLLEAGUES OTHER MINISTERS AND POLITICAL PARTIES DON'T CARE.
Depression is a terrible thing many of the men and women within our industry are just about bearing up, but many are now nearing the end,.I've spoken to a few colleagues and pleaded with them to hang on in their so many of us our thinking it is not worth living on this planet anymore, when you can't provide then you decide is it time.
Things would be much better up above than trying to struggle through this Depression and deprived 3rd world Country, people in the third world would be much better of today.
I'm sorry but unfortunately there is no light at the end of the tunnel, it just getting darker and darker and the big hole is getting deeper and deeper.
I shall leave there as the only people who seem to care and have an interest is those who work within the industry.
Take care.
Paul Donnelly (Crumlin, 2020-11-05)
