Local government should practice TNR (Trap, Neuter & Release). Since they cannot ensure the well being of the dogs in their own pound.

The mayor of Boracay is so imbecile in thinking that the only way to eradicate stray dogs is to bribe poeple into catching them and thereby kill them. What happens to educating people to neuter or spay so their dogs so they can no longer reproduce? I know that a municipality can organize a free neutering and spaying for people who can't afford the fees. And I also know that there are good veterenarians out there who are willing to give their time and resources just to support this kind of program.

I’ve been to Boracay and my experience with the stray dogs there was absolutely nothing but happiness seeing them being free, enjoying the beach like everyone else and lastly, their friendliness.. you can pet them, some will even accompany you just by simply being there with you chilling in the sand and enjoying the view with you. So yeah, they’re not a pest!!!!!!!
