I'm signing because it is 3.5 years that I'm in Australia, always paid taxes and received nothing back because of the whv and always paid the superannuation that they are going to tax 65% if I leave the country and take it now. They need us to help the economy, i think we deserve a help in this tragic moment.Barbara Piscitelli (Airlie beach, 2020-03-30)

I know a lot of working holiday visa holders that have no way to leave and no way to pay for essential items like rent and food, the government needs to supply assistance or these people have no option but to turn to crime.Aron Joyce (Parramatta Park, 2020-03-30)

I have been staying and working in Australia for 5 years. I pay tax and super following to the law. However, I have lost my job and income because of covid-19 effects. I still need to pay rent and bills without knowing when I can come back to work again. In my opinion, it is not fair if me and others are not be able to withdraw the superannuation early when we can’t work and use those money we have been working hard to earn.
Please consider it because a lot of people who are in Australia, are students and international workers holding temporary visas. They do not only work and earn money but also pay tax and get high percentages in profit of Australia economic. What will they think if they can not get any supports? What would happen if 50% of them leave after coronavirus is gone? I think the economy would lose a lot of money, specially Education, Hospitality and Tourism industry. It will be hard to everyone to build up the economic again after coronavirus is gone and lost income from above industry.

I want temporary visa holders to be granted to the right to have early access to their superannuation during these perilous times. It’s the least which can be done to relieve the masses of temporary visa holders in Australia.Hany Hafez (Sydney, 2020-03-30)

I’ve been living in Australia for over 10 years now and I’ve been working ever since, paying taxes and helping the economy. I am still a temporary resident and will get absolutely nothing to help financially. I see myself as Australian, I have an Australian partner, I have a child that has Australian Citizenship. And yet, i have no right to access anything to support my family. I always thought Australia is a country where everyone is united and I always try to see the best in situations but honestly, lately I realized that Australia will just look after their own. It’s heartbreaking.Elisabeth Borchowitz (Melbourne, 2020-03-30)

I have been living, working and paying tax to the Aus government since 2014. I have since married an Australian citizen and recently gave birth to our newborn baby. Because I am still waiting for my temporary partner visa to be approved which has taken over 2 years (currently on a Bridging Visa A), I was rejected for maternity leave pay, the job seeker grant and the job keeper grant. My husband and I were forced to close our business (mandated by the PM) and are now without an income. Please tell me how this is fair? It is discrimination in its fullest capacity.Ashley Berini (Brisbane, 2020-03-30)

I have lived and worked in Australia for six years, and consider it my home. I've worked for my current employer for five years, always as a full time employee, and am sponsored by them under the Temporary Skilled Worker subclass. I would appreciate either access to my superfund, or some kind of safety net for those of us who reside here long-term but are currently entitled to no support during the pandemic.Jessica Ladha (Melbourne, 2020-03-30)

I'm signing because I know many temporary visa holders who have been financially impacted by the Corona virus and the government measures that have been implemented to contain it. In particular, international students that previously worked whilst studying and paid income tax. I have lived in Australia for almost 4 years, I pay taxes, I pay rent, I buy things, I have a family and a life here, I am a part of the Australian economy. According to Scott Morrison people who are a part of the Australian economy are essential, that should mean that people like me ARE essential and should get help too. I've lost my job because of covid-19 and since I've been away from my home country for too long I can't get help from there. I've made Australia my new home and now the country that I love is turning its back on me.Cecilia Andersson (Gold Coast, 2020-03-30)

Since I came to Australia 5 years ago I pay taxes and I’m employed legally. I went through the schools and became a qualified chef, now on TRA program (457 visa holder) but can’t continue it due to the virus, it’s suspended as I have no hours to record since last week (also concern about that). I have no any support and no chances to get work at the moment but need to live somehow. I can help to the community doing some non profit jobs if anybody needs but expecting some kind of support too as a human being.Thank You.

I'm from Germany and because all flights are getting canceled I don't take the risk... So we are stranded in Australia. We do our best to isolate and don't touch anything... I guess better then some other people we saw...We would love to stay inside but we just have a van and we can't stay all time in a van... Also lost our jobs and running out of our savings... We also need help and support from the country and not a high fee or finding just because we are in the nature. Thanks

I am signing because, I think helping the temporary migrants would be in the best interest of Australian community as the economy has collapsed, and when the economy will start functioning normal all these migrants would be a big asset in rebuilding the economy. Also it’s about human rights as all the other categories and Australian citizens have been looked after in a crisis as big as this, so it’s about humanity that these people should be looked after.Anil Manu (Launceston, 2020-03-31)

I pay my taxes, I study at university in this country which let’s be honest costs way too much and I am working myself to the bone just to be here and be studying. As a temporary visa in Melbourne, I consider myself as a Australian Citizen who lives, pay taxes and spend his incomes in the Australia Economy. It’s been 2 weeks now that I’m unemployed with no saving and a really short amount of annual leaves. My situation is the case of a thousand people. The government has to help everybody non only the citizens...
