#4439

This is sacred early European heritage and must be kept intact and secure for our ancestors.

Julie Norwood (Epsom, 2024-02-28)

While I may be an Americab citizen, I have had the wonderful privilege of traveling to Sweden and Amsterdam, during this trips I was enamored by the rich culture and the importance that is placed on history. I believe that the locals and people's abroad a like have a right to preserve their ancestors history. Allowing this Quarry to be built would destroy a sacred place of connection and wonder for many, and erase the opportunity for the exploration of the past for future generations. I urge that we consider cultural growth above and beyond capitalistic gains, in an ever disappearing world of beauty and wonder.

Tosha Varney (Stokesdale, 2024-02-29)

Dette er en kulturarv for mange generasjoner etter oss og de har rettigheter til denne kulturarven som vi IKKE har rett til å ta fra dem!!

If there is 8000 year old art in those caves then we should do our level best to make sure it's there in another 8000 years. The entire surface of the earth isn't awash with 8000 year old art, so find another way.

Antony Hixson (Staffordshire, 2024-02-29)

The Dutch have no business destroying Norway for profit.

Elmar de Croon (Den Haag, 2024-03-01)

I'm signing because this place should remain pristine, and because the people have spoken, said no and basically told to go to hell. This is happening all too often now in this politically rotten Europe. The decisions are fait accompli before any community is even consulted.

Andrew Carroll (Mettet, 2024-03-01)

#4519

I don't want white European history destroyed for any reason. It is my and my children's heritage.

Anthony Chappell (Chesterfield, 2024-03-01)

Sally Marshall (Great Yarmouth, 2024-03-01)

This history site is of immense value to people everywhere, not just Norway, now and into the future and if destroyed cannot be replaced. Whatever profit this mining company will make is temporary and won't be rememered by or benefit the people of Norway. NO WAY! DO NOT DESTROY this ancient site.

Andrew Jenkings (Shoalhaven Heads, 2024-03-01)

#4533

Heritage and artefacts are precious.

Save European heritage.

Paul Green (Margate, 2024-03-02)

#4550

I do not want historical sights and beautiful historical fossils to be damaged for economic gain. I want there to be no threat to cultural heritage and the environment. Prioritization should be on natural and cultural heritage and not economic gain.

Ilze Weldon (Potchefstroom, 2024-03-02)

#4562

Seeing the destruction of cultural sites in favor of profitable gains at the hands of large corporations the very sad thing to see. I would hate for environment and artifacts to be destroyed for the sake of some profit that could be made elsewhere. Speaks to the disrespect and disregard of your own people.

Stephen Hirsch (New jersey, 2024-03-02)

#4568

Ikke la industri ødelegge uvurderlig kulturhistorie!

Trym Smedsrud (Oslo, 2024-03-02)

#4572

This is one of the most important rock art sites in Europe and it should be protected as a cultural treasure of not only Norway but the world. This quarry approval is a shame on the Norwegian government.

Fiona Baker (Glasgow, 2024-03-02)

#4573

The destruction of such an iconic landscape and its contents is unforgivable. It is vandalism of the worst sort.

Peter Herbert (Doune, 2024-03-02)

Det hadde vært veldig ukult

Eivor Alvim (Fredrikstad, 2024-03-02)

Loss is final, setting, is irreparable, be progressive and not destructive. This has lasted for thousands of years, this landscape does not have to be destroyed - be innovative and work with it

David Connolly (Scottish Borders, 2024-03-03)

#4597

These carvings inspire and humble us

Mark Blaxter (Edinburgh, 2024-03-03)

I’m signing because the quarry will endanger some of the most interesting petroglyphs in Norway, and endangered plant species to that.
