Always enjoyed Cleeve and more recently it was the first round I played at the start of lockdown after 5 years of not touching my clubs. I’m now a member at Minch. Would be a terrible shame to see 125 years of history eradicated.

There has been no negotiation or public consultation about the closure of a public facility and venue. This has been an underhanded decision without consultation or looking at problems & solutions. This needs investigating as to who’s benefiting from this! Because the public and golfers certainly aren’t!

I’m signing because cleeve is the most fantastic course I’ve ever played I’ve been a member in the past and was always made to feel welcome by everybody that is a part of cleeve cloud from all the golfers to bar and restaurant staff and Dave in the pro shop it’s a shambles that tbc are planning to close it down forever so much history will be gone for ever and I for one don’t want to see this happen

It is one of the few courses accessible to me as a teenager learning to play golf in the local area. Without access to municipal courses it will make it even harder for the generations coming through to have the opportunities to play such a great game and ultimately lead to the demise of the support.
I haven’t played there in years as now live too far away but can still remember lots of the holes such as the quarry well. The sign of a great course.

Once again a town miles from Cheltenham area is trying to build houses etc to meet its quota. If they want houses I suggest they build them in Tewksbury and stop putting Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve amenities under greater strain.

TBC are not holding builders (persimmon) to agreed community facilities being built as it it and this is another one to be lost in Cleeve if this goes ahead. It is a awesome golf course not often you have to hit through a small break in a rampart of an a Roman hill fort and in the distance you can see the severn bridge. Great greens would be a real shame to lose it
