I’m signing because my boyfriend has recently lost his job leaving him unable to afford rent and potentially meaning we need to leave our flat within the next week/2 with no where to go. We have already looked at flights back to England and there aren’t many available and those that are are too expensive. We pay tax while in Australia so we should be able to reap some benefits when in such hard times.Emily Bolding (Melbourne, 2020-03-26)

Reason is that we paid tax every week in good times and now is time when we need help from government. If we won’t get help then what we are doing for the betterment of Australia and their dignity would be wasteZulqarnain Zulqarnain (Sydney, 2020-03-26)

I've lived in Australia for 6 years, most of my adult life has been here and I have contributed to the growth of the country, to the community and have paid my taxes like a citizen. I'm currently on a graduate visa and my hours are dropping every week. Why should I be treated any differently to permanent residents? We deserve the same treatment.Jennifer Kimmerling (Camperdown, 2020-03-26)
