As a voter it was disheartening to see clear obstacles done to obstruct the information relating to the election results.
1. The IEC results portal was changed from the last Local Government Elections where one could click a map from National to Province, to Municipality and all the way to the VD to see those results. In these elections, unless you were a political party at the Results Centre, could you get VD information and even that too was only possible if you knew a VD number. On our side it was just a map with colours.

This was purposely done to hide public information at the VDs and to ensure that the general public cannot object to the results they saw at their VD.

2. Political Parties submitted clear objections on the tempering of the results slips that differed from the photos taken by the Party Agents at various VDs. They did so in front of Journalists on live TV, but till today we are were not advised publically and on live TV, on how the IEC handled each of these objections.

These elections were far from being free and fair.
