I used to take my along this road every year, from when he was 18 months old (2005) until it was closed. We used to stop at the look out before heading to Kerry to camp. Please reopen it.

There should be an alternate road for access instead of only having one road in and out. When Springbrook and Tamborine has had major road issues or has been cut off before residents and tourists can still access the mountain via the alternative back road.

This used to make for a wonderful loop drive, and secondary access in case of emergency. Great shame it’s no longer open.

It had been in use back in the day when I’d used to have bicycle tours that used this route travel across from Canungra up to O’Reilly’s a few day then over to Kerry and on to Rathdowny
It was a scenic route to travel
Also if we’d come from Kyogle way to Lamington it is the quickest way

It’s been too long with only one way up & down the mountain by road to access this beautiful national park and OReillys guesthouse. It’s especially important from a safety point of view for staff, visitors and residents driving the longer journey when a shorter option could be available every day and also alternate route during the threat of fires, land slides and road maintenance.

Having travelled this road before and been blown away by the amazing scenery, I would like the opportunity to show this road to my family and be able to safely drive it in our 4wd. I would also like to be able to ride it again on my adventure motorcycle, knowing it is safe to ride and maintained to a suitable bush track standard.

I've always loved duck Creek road as a alternative route to oreillys. I also believe it's an extremely important road for safety with an alternative route from bushfired or road closures and for tourism. It is a beautiful drive as well.

I'm signing because it's now been long enough for the Duck Creek Rd to be closed and we're all sick of waiting. Come on SR Council; it's just under 5km of road work that needs doing. You certainly make enough from tourism at the Scenic Rim so spend a bit of that money and open up this fantastic tourist trail.
