I am a retired Willoughby detective that was involved in the investigation of the brutal killing of this young girl.Mr.Lombardozzi was a lucky man when his life was spared and he needs to be right where he is forever.

I’m signing because I have seen first hand how this loss has shaped the lives of those close to it. The man who committed this crime should not be released, for Christie’s family and friends and for society.

I was the Chief of Police for the City of Willoughby at the time that Donato Lombardozi brutally murdered high school student Christie Montrella. He never showed any remorse and his actions devastated this loving family. He should never be granted parole and should spend the rest of his life in prison. I attended his last parole hearing to insure that he not be released along with several of my law enforcement colleagues who also worked on this case who I'am sure will do so again to prevent his release.

I think justice needs to be done

I remember when Christie went missing and I will never forget that week. My friends and I use to hang out at Master Pizza in high school. The place felt safe like home and I couldn't imagine what happened to Christie. I remember when Christie was found along 271. When the police said it was a co worker that killed Christie, I was shocked and mad. Why did he have to kill her? I think he should have gotten death. To this day, every time I drive by that area of 271, I think of Christie and what her parents had to go through. No parent should ever have to go through what the Montrella Family went through. Keep that monster in prison till he dies.

(Willowick, 2018-01-22)

I remember this and felt so bad after learning I drove 271on my way to work and passed by where that creep left her

(Mentor, 2018-01-22)

#1911

The loss of a loved one through murder is horrific and the perpetrator should never be released. It tells me that young woman’s life was worthless and that’s far from the truth.

(American Canyon, 2018-01-22)

#1913

Her and her families sentence due to his direct actions are for eternity........his at minimum should be life.

(Lyndhurst, 2018-01-22)

#1921

Please do not release a convicted killer onto our streets. I grew up quickly at the age of 13 when Christie was killed. Her murder affected so many of us who lost the chance to feel safe in their community. I see all that I have experienced in my life since 1988 - college, marriage, career, motherhood. Not only did Christie miss all of that, but her family continues to miss watching her experience life. Christie did nothing to deserve losing this opportunity. Donato did act in a way that cost him the right to experience life. He was given life in prison, and should experience the life he chose. What are we telling him and other would-be-offenders if we release someone after such a senseless and heinous act?

(The Woodlands, 2018-01-22)

As a law enforcement officer with the Cuyahoga County Adult Probation Department, I remember and followed this case to it's conclusion as a 1st year officer with the department. I hope once again he is "denied" because he deserves to remain behind bars for his actions.

Lombardozzi deserved the death penalty. He should never be allowed to walk free.

(Willoughby, Ohio, 2018-01-22)

#1952

This monster took the life of a 16 year old child. She never got to discover, and live up to her potential. in my opinion, he should be thankful for the gift of every new breath he takes. A gift that was taken away from Christie. But let all those breathes be tainted with flavor of incarceration.

(Wickliffe, 2018-01-22)

#1956

We knew her from the restaurant, she had her whole life ahead of her and Donato took that away from her as well as taking her from her family and friends. He does not deserve to be considered for parole

I meet Christie in high school through a mutual friend. She was a kind and warm girl. She did nothing to deserve the cruel and inhuman actions done to her. Her murderer needs to remain behind bars until his dying breath.

(Chardon, 2018-01-22)
