STOP CITY OF BUFORD WAREHOUSES ON CAMP BRANCH RD & GRAVEL SPRINGS RD

This annexation and rezoning would create unsafe traffic conditions by putting manufacturing and industrial uses directly in residential areas. This is a unconscionable and irresponsible action by the City of Buford.Darlyn Wilkerson (Buford, 2024-05-24)

Our area's green spaces and community are being taken over by overcrowded neighborhoods and warehouses. This warehouse does not match the surrounding residential areas and devalues the quality of living and our properties.Sarah Meyer (Buford, 2024-05-26)
#6
We do not need any more warehouses in the Camp Branch Road area, the traffic is already getting impossible to travel the roads with crowds.Lorri Brown (Lawrenceville, 2024-05-26)
#8
The traffic is already horrible in the Hamilton Mill area.Timothy Dahl (Buford, 2024-05-26)

Stop this madness and greed in Buford. The traffic is already out of control and no one seems to care. The quality of life is going down, not to mention what warehouses will do to our property taxes and actual value of our homes. We are losing precious land and natural areas. This is no longer a place to live with that small town feel and family friendly areas. Gwinnett County does not care about actual people living here, whether you are a long term residence or new residence. You can bet that county commissioners don't have to worry about their property values, quality of life or surround residential areas being destroyed.Victoria Dahl (Buford, 2024-05-26)

I don't want big warehouses Etc being built near or residential areas as it will be a threat to our property values, as well as large trucks will be backing up our roads. AmericaAllyson Erickson (Buford, 2024-05-26)
#13
Stop warehouses! Not appropriate for truck traffic on these roadsJoan Clarke (Buford, 2024-05-26)
#14
We do not need additional warehouse spaces in this area. As you drive around it is plain to see an extreme amount of “empty” warehouses. The City of Buford is allowing our neighborhoods to decrease in value.I am strongly against this motion as it does also add to the traffic that is already stifling us.
Cynthia Grastat (Buford, 2024-05-26)

Becauee I don't want more warehouses and white and black painted million dollar homes.Richard Hermes (Buford, 2024-05-26)
#18
Traffic on Gravel Springs is already bad and adding additional trucks to the road would be detrimental to the community. Also, warehouses are usually used for 24 hours a day creating unnecessary noise in the middle of the night for the people who live near this proposed rezoning.Colleen Carey (Lawrenceville, 2024-05-26)
#27
I oppose vehemently !Fred Michael (Buford, 2024-05-27)
#35
City of Buford's aggressive expansion to collect tax revenue by harming unincorporated residential areas must be stopped. It is certainly unethical, and should be criminal, that Buford destroys residential areas for these warehouses to generate tax revenue for their inefficient school system, and then doesnt even allow the nearby residents access to the schools.Ben Berusch (Dacula, 2024-05-27)
#36
traffic is bad enoughNicolas Denick (Mulbery, 2024-05-27)
#42
You need to stop building these warehouses. And most definitely not in residential areas!! This will cause extreme wear and tear on our roads. The roads would become much more hazardous. The value of the homes will decrease immensely. Nobody wants to live next to a whole bunch of warehouses!Jessica Melcher (Buford, 2024-05-28)
#44
The construction of warehouses in close proximity to predominantly residential areas will significantly diminish residential property values and create untenable traffic problems. The huge empty warehouse across from the Buford Post Office doesn't seem to have been a particularly good investment by the City - especially considering how tractor-trailer traffic to and from that warehouse would totally choke Buford Highway. The same would be true for Gravel Springs and especially Camp Branch roads. This proposal underscores the wisdom of Gwinnett County residents who voted to support incorporation of the City of Mulberry and thereby gain some measure of control over egregious zoning proposals.William Powers (Mulberry, 2024-05-28)
#49
Heavy truck traffic will affect the daily commute of my family! Gravel springs/Wallace Rd is already a dangerous intersection. Adding the traffic for this warehouse is the absolutely wrong move for this residential area!Christina Addison (Lawrenceville, 2024-05-28)
#50
Enough is enough! Our area cannot handle anymore large box warehouses or crammed in apartments/townhomes. And what is even going in these warehouses? So many are sitting empty.Wendy Snarski (Buford, 2024-05-28)
#53
With homes and a church in the area of where this warehouse is being proposed this petition should be deniedJeffrey Brimanson (Dacula, 2024-05-28)
#67
I am strongly against the building of warehouses on Camp Branch. These proposed warehouses are too close to residential neighborhoods. The City of Buford would be going against what the neighbors feel is best for their neighborhood. NO WAREHOUSES on that side of Gravel Springs, keep it uniform with what is already there. This proposal is very wrong and would hurt a lot of hard working people that live in their dream homes.Liz Lockard (Hoschton, 2024-05-29)

This negatively impacts my property value and jeopardizes the quality of life established along the Camp Branch corridor. Most importantly, the City of Buford's move to annex these parcels from unincorporated Gwinnett County prevents citizens from having a vote in this decision.Renee Byrd-Lewis (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#70
This is a ridiculous invasion of privacy and will negatively impact residents’ quality of life😡Angela Batson (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#75
I am signing because we want our community back and to be maintained for residential single family homes with family friendly neighborhoods not warehouses in our backyards!Polly Byrnes (Dacula, 2024-05-29)

Buford Has ruined the areaJacquelyn Denick (Mulberry, 2024-05-29)
#79
I'm signing because this is super close to our house and will negatively affect our property values. The roads around this area are already way too crowded...Camp Brance can't handle anymore traffic!Kristie Sweat (Buford, 2024-05-29)

I am an affected homeowner, and the proposed annexation / development will be a nightmare for traffic and home values.Steve Neill (Buford, 2024-05-29)

#83
We do NOT need any more warehouses on Gravel Springs Road.FRANCES DAVIS (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#84
I live off of camp branch road which is a residential community. There is already additional traffic with the opening of the gravel springs exit. Traffic will also worsen once the gravel springs warehouses open. For the safety of our community and the preservation of the equity of our homes we do not need additional warehouses surrounding our community.Lori Hartman (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#85
I live in Camp Branch and for the City of Buford to approve this is disgraceful. There are enough ugly distributions built on gravel springs, there doesn’t need to be anymore. Leave our green space green for Christ’s sake and stop looking to keep funding the city’s pockets.Rita Patel (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#86
I am signing because we don’t need any more warehouses, apartments, or houses being built in the Buford/Gwinnett county area because we are already extremely overwhelmed and overcrowded.Kennedy Dixon (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#96
I am 100% apposed to this use of the land. It is inapproiate to construct this type of develpoment so near to existing residential neighborhoods. This will bring more truck (semi) traffic to Campbranch which is not suitable for such vehicals. It is already eciting my neighborhood (Hedgerows).Brian Lueke (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#97
I live in hedgerows which used to be a nice low activity community. Im tired of the trucks on gravel springs road and all the construction. This new annex would bring that traffic on to a small two lane road (camp branch) which is hazardous and will only addto my commuteAnwar Martin (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#103
I do not want this. Traffic will be unbearable. these warehouses are destroying the community.Deadra Fischer (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#105
I vehemently oppose the rezoning at Camp Branch. This should remain residential. There are already too many warehouses in this area overwhelming our roads and creating horrible traffic.Gina Maxey (Buford, 2024-05-29)
#110
Gravel Springs has enough empty warehouse space - no need for more.Steve Hill (Buford, 2024-05-29)

I am a homeowner and a Buford city business owner and I think the distribution centers are ugly and put 18 wheelers on residential roads where my children will soon be driving. They are an eyesore and unsafe.Kasandra McDaniel (Buford, 2024-05-30)

I value my beautiful neighborhood and the greed of some, at the expense of others, is just pure evil! STOP THE BOXES!!!Christopher Giffin (Buford, 2024-05-30)

I encouraged my family to move to Hedgerows four years ago as it was a place we wanted to live some 20 years ago, but we ended up in Hamilton Mill. I am grateful that we’re not part of the city of Mulberry and at the same time while we just, fought a church that had a special use permit request, from building smack dab in the middle of our neighborhood, here we go again. I feel if we’ve done it once we can do it again but this time it’s bigger and we’re going to need more of you to help. We’re going to lose home values, traffic will be more of a nightmare, etc. let’s face it, when some of us were happy about the new exit to 85 being built others were not. Living in Hamilton Mill, it was nice to have exit 120 right there. It was also nice that there wasn’t any room to build big warehouses. I had a horrible feeling a while ago about something like this potentially coming to fruition. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the exit being so much closer to home than having to zip my way around the mall of Georgia traffic to get to exit 115. It’s definitely a bittersweet deal that is leaving more of an icky taste in my mouth every day. If you’re just reading these signature comments and you haven’t signed the petition yet, please consider doing so and thank you in advance for your support. Blessings!Nancy Giffin (Buford, 2024-05-30)

I do not agree with this zoning and plans for more warehouses. Our roads are already backed up with tons of new residents, we cannot handle all of the trucks and traffic these warehouses will bring. Please do not approve!Zicri Sanchez (Buford, 2024-05-30)
#129
I live right on the edge of barrow and Gwinnett. We frequently are commuting to Suwanee and driving to cumming via gravel springs to Buford dr. Having more traffic and large trucks coming through these roads would be a nightmare. And the fact where there are warehouses already built through out Buford by south Lee street and Buford highway, it’s not a nice area to be in and would not like it spreading so close to where I live.Lexi Taylor (Auburn, 2024-05-30)

Buford has already built too many distribution warehouses in Buford. We do not need these warehouses in a residential area.Christy Terrell (Buford, 2024-05-30)
#171
Residential areas should be just that...RESIDENTIAL!! Our kids and families deserve a community with wildlife, trees and nature, NOT these unsightly concrete containers (warehouses) that devalue our properties. Please stop building warehouses on N. Bogan Rd as well. We moved to this community because of it's naturalistic and peaceful qualities. If I wanted to live near a warehouse I would have moved to an industrial area in metropolitan Atlanta.Jamala Best (Buford, 2024-05-31)

Tired of seeing ugly ass warehouses and nonstop building in my neighborhood! City of Buford have lost their minds! Traffic is bad enough!Brandy Burkhaulter (Dacula, 2024-05-31)
#177
Our area is so congested already that we can’t get out of our neighborhood on 324 as it is now. Constant bad accidents, many taking down power poles and deaths involved. Our property values will be plummeting! Please stop destroying our county!Angie Barrett (Dacula, 2024-05-31)

I am officially also in unincorporated Buford. I do not live close to these neighborhoods BUT I will be signing to join these residents in OPPOSING this! It is unacceptable & despicable! The voice of the people MUST be heard!Tina Orifici-Hasan (Buford, 2024-05-31)

I'm signing as I do not want more commerical zoning invading into residential and community areas.Anthony O (Buford, 2024-05-31)
#183
I'm signing because this road is along my commute and I cannot believe any government that cares about it's people would build right next to expensive homes. It doesn't make any kind of logical senseL. McKenzie Pearce (Auburn, 2024-05-31)

I live in a neighborhood off Camp Branch road and with the new warehouses built on gravel springs traffic has gotten awful. The road are starting to have much more potholes from large semi trucks. Rezoning and adding more warehouse would only lower our property value and cause an uncontrollable amount of traffic.Genaro Marquez (Buford, 2024-05-31)

It's the right thing to do, that is to voice ones concerns. Enough of the building already !!!Oliver Stroehmann (Dacula, 2024-05-31)

I am a resident of Hedgegrows close to Gravel Springs and HWY 85. We OPPOSE the rezoning of the nearby residential green space for industrial use. This attempt to do so is an unethical abuse of authority. As residents we are having our comfortable RESIDENTIAL environment YANKED from us for profit. We want the rezoning to stop and for the land in question to remain zoned for residential use!Michelle Lewis (Buford, 2024-05-31)

Because I've been here since 1996 and the growth is too fast. Homes I'll accept warehouses no. Too much traffic now, don't need anymore especially big rigs.Ginnie Childers (Lawrenceville, 2024-06-01)

We don't anymore warehouses, traffic on Camp Branch and Gravel Springs road are a nightmare. Even going to church on Sunday trying to get on I85 is a nightmare.Maxine Forbes (Buford, 2024-06-01)
