The service delivery expected from the Council is non existent. Residents shouldn’t be without power due to you not paying overtime to staff. Get contractors in to resolve these issues!!! We cannot not pay our rates as you will cut us off but this seems like a good alternative.

I'm signing this because I am tired of being inconvenienced with regular power failures, as well as loss of food, appliances, etc., and being in the dark, with no means of cooking. I'm Diabetic and eating properly and regularly is a necessity to maintain a healthy sugar level. This level of service, or lack of service is no longer acceptable and needs to be remedied as a matter of urgency. We pay for our utilities, but the service is not provided!

I was retrenched due to covid and am now a self employed home baker, I frequently lose business due to these power cuts and will eventually damage my business reputation. As I am extremely high to covid, I prefer shopping less frequently and storing my food, but have had to thrown away so much as a result of these never ending power cuts. I have also lost appliances as a result (including a freezer last week the 24th of December ). It's seems like someone inhouse is responsible for this as by now there would have been a guard or cameras installed to prevent the continuous cable theft. It really is becoming an unlivable city.

This kind of service and treatment is unacceptable. In the event that any citizen is late to pay their lights and water bill, within 24 hours these services are cut off. And yet, these departments do not seem to be held accountable when we have paid for these services but are being forced to go without them.

In the past 2 years the electricity infrastructure has gone from bad to worse. I have been without electricity twice for 5 consecutive days. The restoration time has gone from 12 hours to 48 hours. We are off almost weekly for 24 hours. You never know when you will have electricity. We are forced to use this failing municipality and its infrastructure.
