Fight the release of these two prisoners!
Dear Friends
I have the deepest admiration for Alison Botha, some of you might know who she is, but please bear my five minutes to inform you if you don’t!
In December 1994, Alison was abducted outside her home by two men who raped, stabbed and disemboweled her, finally slashing her throat 16 times to make sure she was dead.
No-one could believe that anyone with such severe injuries could live. But Alison defied death with God at her side. And more than that, she denied her attackers the satisfaction of destroying her life.
The manner in which she survived, her inner strength and determination, her lack of bitterness, and her serenity and humility captured the attention of everyone who heard her story and she has become the inspiration to millions of people in South Africa and around the globe.
Alison's story "I HAVE LIFE - Alison's Journey", was one of the first books of its kind to be published in South Africa, a country where rape statistics are among the highest in the world and is an invaluable survival guide.
But now… fast forward to 2012 there is a possibility that the two men who attacked her…
Kruger and Frans du Toit could be released on parole!!
According to new legislation, that came into effect in June l, 2011, all prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment before 2004 can apply for parole if they had already served 13 years and four months of their sentences.
Furthermore it is alleged that the final decision rests with minister of correctional services. Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.
IS the minister going to be of sane mind and say no to the release of these monsters?
When are we, the law abiding citizens of South Africa going to stand up and say:
With all respect – are you out of your mind?
Look what these two men did to this woman?
We don’t care if the new legislation say they may be release!!!
Well, for one, I am going to stand up!!
