Fans of Country & Irish music/Social Dancing Fans

As we all know every sector of Irish business has had a road map to reopening, knew what they had to do, when they could expect to resume and had lobby groups to make it happen.
Country bands/ Social dance bands ,all Dancers, venue proprietors/ owners have no idea when , how or if this is going to happen for this sector of the business.
It hasn’t got an agenda or even been up for discussion
TR Dallas,Trudi Lawlor, John Hogan, & Fran Curry have made a start in airing the problems faced by the sector, TDs, Mattie McGrath & Jackie Cahill have pledged their support so what we need now is public support .
We cannot ignore Covid restrictions, none of us want to endanger our own health or that of our musicians but advice needs to be forthcoming on reopening. If this is pushed down the road to next year then a lot of venues may not reopen and our musicians may have to look for other work. Grants or some remuneration for venues to adapt premises to the Covid provisions of social distancing etc. Musicians and others involved in the business need reassurance that any Covid payments will continue for them until the whole entertainment sector reopens.
