Failure on the Disaster management Act 57 of 2002

There is a huge failure on the Act 57 of 2002 - The implementation to provide a framework for response to natural or human caused disasters in section 1 : The failure to implement the five steps of emergency management: Prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

In the city of Johannesburg we currently have less than 10 fire-engines working that are servicing 6 324 000 people. Raising concerns on the functionality of fire stations as to how we can have more stations then engines that service the public.

On the 4th of May I lost my family home and everything we acquired in our lives besides the clothes on our backs and to my utter dismay discovered that we only have 8 fire engines servicing the city of Johannesburg which is nearly 7million people having access to adequate water supply to distinguish a fire.

May I please have your support in filling this petition so we can push for service delivery on the request for more fire engines as many more people will lose their homes and people their care about.
